Another factor at stake is my implication. I can’t count how many times I saw a table fold down to the floor. There is nothing like watching a deadhead get free chips. The key factor here is PAY ATTENTION. You have to be in the game and not on vacation.
Always add the fundamentals of common sense when playing for money. I am from the old guard and, in my fifties, I have seen the game evolve in many ways over many decades. To quote one of the idols, “No limit holdem can be taught in half an hour, but it can take a lifetime to master.”
To this, I would add, when you start or if you are already familiar with poker, but you are having difficulties – go and practice in free or low stakes online poker tournaments. There are some great ones out there and you can play a lot with little or nothing at risk and, in doing so, really build your confidence and skills before you start taking further risks.
